Who we are
solarpanelcalculator.energy is run by [Business or trading name], [Registered address]. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. Contact us at [Contact email].
What we collect
The calculator runs in your browser. Your answers aren't stored or sent anywhere unless you request a survey.
When you request a survey we collect your name, phone number, email address, postcode, your calculator answers and your estimate.
How we use it
We use your details to arrange your free solar survey. When you submit the form we tell Google Ads that a request was made, without your contact details, so we can measure which adverts work. We share them with one MCS-certified installer who covers your area, so they can contact you about your quote. We don't sell your details or share them with anyone else for marketing.
Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us.
How long we keep it
We keep survey requests for up to 24 months, then delete them.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email [Contact email]. If you're unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, and Google Ads to measure which adverts bring visitors and lead to survey requests. Google sets analytics and advertising cookies only if you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you click Reject, or make no choice, no analytics or advertising cookies are set and Google receives only basic, cookieless measurement signals.
To change your choice, clear this site's data in your browser and reload the page. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them.
